Program

Toolbox Primary Years (5 to 13 years)

Just when we all think we’re getting the hang of this parenting thing, our toddlers become 5-year-olds going on 13-year-olds and we find ourselves facing a whole set of new challenges! Starting school, navigating friendships and deciding how may hours of screen time are too many hours of screen time?

Over six weeks, we’ll cover all of this and more with plenty of opportunities for discussion and questions. We’re sure you’ll come out the other end feeling confident and ready to tackle the primary years with your kids.

Parenting Place is a charity with a heart for New Zealand families. Their programmes relate to those with a newborn, a teenager, a troupe of grandkids, or nieces and nephews, and are designed to inspire, encourage, and support the strengthening of whanau relationships.

Toolbox is one of their most widely delivered programmes.

Leaders are trained through the Parenting Place and Taranaki is lucky to have both Katy Quest and Carla Moore, Caitlin Hocken, Sonya Goodchild and Shell Shaw as accredited programme providers.
